not at all, in fact its got a lot going for it. the seals cope with the fuel, they come in a variety of sizes, and are a free byproduct every time you have a drink.
ive used a couple of 2ltr lemonade bottles of petrol strapped to the bike before, used them up and threw them away.
i dont see how you could use one as a fuel bottle for a pressurized stove though, if thats the sort of bottle this thread is about
02 RD07a RWB, Powerbronze tall screen, Remus Grand Prix, TT crash bars, TT pannier frame, Zega style panniers, Alpos top box,TT bar risers, TT headlamp guard, Heated grips, mainstand, Heidenau K60s for road and light offroad, TKC80s for the dirty stuff, Scottoiler, Autocomm, TT Zumo mount, Zumo 550 and most of all A BIG GRIN !!!Oh, and a very nice RD04 HRC coloured Marathon Replica
Hi lads, off on a slight tangent...... what carriers do you use for your bottles, i only want to carry water in mine and would like to put them onto my panniers, apart from Toureteck does anyone else make them ???
Sorry for the slight deviation

Quick update
I've had fuel in these for a couple of months now and the stoppers have definitely started to swell up a bit. It's not by much but they are now a tighter fit in the bottle. I reckon 1mm at most. It's still easy enough to open and they are still leak free though.
