    Quick update :

Without any work other than a bit of liberal spraying of WD40 my grips are working perfectly again now

I know they have a volt sensitive gizmo in them and of the bike was standing for a while max 10 days tho, would this affect them for a few miles?

Or are they just waiting till they are over 12 months so I cant get them changed

Does the blue light flash on and off when you try to switch then on?

I believe this is indicating that the battery voltage is too low, so they are just turning themselves off immediately.

Charge your battery up and give them another try.

    Re: Oxford Heated grips

posting in this thread has been the kiss of death for my grips. I have had to repair the connectors on my old switch and use that instead coz the "new" one is dead hard to get to switch on now and then it won't switch off until I disconnect the wires.

    Re: Oxford Heated grips

Quick update now I have a bit of time on my hands

Emailed oxford they have offerd me a replacement switch for £18 50% discount apparently

Needless to say I have not accepted their offer

It is quite clear to me that this model V6 has a fundamental problem with it, so if I buy another one or even get on FOC how long will it be before the same problem happens again?????????????

My plan is to see it through with Oxford on principle but will probably buy the old style 'Dial' from J&S full set for £25 and whatever I eventually agree with Oxford will become a spare ICE

    Any thoughts gentlemen

As they told me that the controllers are interchangeable I would just buy a dial type controller and leave it at that.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
