    Tyres, TKC/Karoo Alternatives?

I'm after some advise of tyres, I'm currently running TKCs, but I don't really like them, they're just not knobbly enough offroad, I used to run metzeler karoos and loved em, but recently they're getting hard to find and they now cost almost the same as TKCs so they're just not worth it considering they last about 800-1000 miles less than TKCs

Anyone got any good alternatives? Something slightly more knobbly and slightly cheaper than TKCs would be good, but still with fairly good mileage when used on the road.

    Sizes I need are: 90/90-21 and 130/80-17

    Thanks in advance

    Heidenau K60s.

Perhaps not as knobbly as the Karoos but value for money is undeniable:

    HEIDENAU 130/80 - 17 M/C TL 65H K 60

Grip is pretty good on tarmac too, as long as you don't go mad...

Not knobbly enough I'm afraid, they'd be even worse in the mud than TKCs

You mean conditions like that....? The general mud was about ankle deep and in many places even deeper than that. Not to talk about that nice little lake... Water almost up to the exhaust.... different story though.

But I have to agree. Not the best option for that kinda use.. even though I will keep the K60 on that bike. It was very slippery and more grip would have been good.

but I heard good things about the stonemaster... by some people who have been to Albania/Croatia etc with these tyres and some others
