This thread really puzzles me. You've been trying to solve the problem of how to jump-start the bike, how to build in a socket, how to carry leads. Shouldn't you be trying to solve why the bike needs a jump start in the first place? I've had electric start bikes for decades and never needed a jump start. Fix that problem and the other problems disappear.
After one jump, I decided to get my jumping kit in order, but take your comments on board.
A wandering thread can hardly come as a surprise to anyone, as folks tweak it to suit their specifics.
I once had to jumpstart my CX500 and while connecting the jumper leads found the loose battery terminal that was the cause, last time I had to jumpstart was because the battery was old and died in the cold weather.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
