Help!! Mounting spots on crash bars

Help!! Mounting spots on crash bars.

How do I get some sort of bracket to mount my spots onto the crash bars?

Crash bars are tubular and spots need to mount on the flat.

Watch that where you mount them doesn't in the event of a fall cause them to rotate into the bodywork or radiator thereby negating the effectiveness of the crashbars.

Hang on a minute, I am trying to work out the orientation on my bars, not as straight forward as I thought.

Try a cycle shop, that's where I got my brackets from, you might be surprised at the range of light fittings available for push bikes!

    Hi RickSkye,

I have tried several ways to do this on my KTM Adv and by far the best way so far has been to cut a steel plate to the shape you need and then weld it onto the crash bars. You can then drill through the plate and fit the lights.

I will take a few pics tonight and try and post them over the weekend.

Are you going to the Ace Cafe on the 21st Feb ? I am you could have a look .

    Good luck

    SPG
