    Exhaust hole

I am finding many rusted/corroded screws and bolts on my bike, the drain bolt sheared off which I have replaced.

One of the hexagon bolts holding on the front exhaust protector was rounded out so I carefully drilled it out working my way up in drill size and using the drill protector but when it went through the protector slipped a few mm and I drilled a 5mm hole in the front part of the exhaust.

The rest of the exhaust is in good condition, no rust or corrosion.

I can get at it to wrap around some exhaust repair bandage, should I?

Will it reduce performance or harm the bike if if left unrepaired?
