FFS your name isnt stu is it?

you sound like the halfwit at work who asked me about buying a 125 and i said to get it from a dealer to get a warranty, and he spent 2hrs online looking for the ltalian brand "FROMADELA"

go in and say you think the headrace is a bit tight can they check it? dont mention your brake its under warranty, they will fix it without charging you, but they cant drop everything and do it for you there and then, someone IS paying them a lot for working on their bikes already.
so as kymmy darlin' says, stop moaning

Look, this lad may not be as educated as us. For myself it's took just over 60 years to get where I am and I'm still learning! I wrecked lots of bikes when I was a teenager, mainly through ignorance, probably as we all did. Only a couple of nights ago I looked at the Vigor and thought 'that bolt looks a bit rusty' I'll change it for a new one. One touch with a socket and 'crack' the blooming thing sheared off clean!. But my expierience led me to remove the exhaust clamp, grind off the nut that is resistance welded to the clamp, weld another on and then refit with a new bolt. Easy for me with my expierince but more likely a nightmare for a youngster like hammers. Give the guy a break, he'll learn eventually. In the meantime he'll just have to rely on a dealer somewhere. What will help hammers is if he realises that knowlege has to be learnt and my advice is that if he is going to continue with bikes he could find an old one and take it to bits, like I had to, then put it back together again. So hammers the first thing you do now is to blag some spanners and start looking for an old nail to practice with. Also try to get an old Haynes bike manual from a charity shop or boot sale and you will begin to see how a bike works. Stick at it and when you are sixty you will think back to this and have a good laugh. Keep the faith.

Twistgrip mate, I'm giving nobody a hard time, my advice was simple, either give them a chance to put things right or take the bike to another shop to be fixed properly but whoever does it must be professional about it.
A few here have been a little over zealous I agree, and we all have to start somewhere. My simple point was highlighting the negative of going along to the dealer with a printed out forum posting blaming "white mans magic has hexed his bike" would not be a good way forward.
Hammers mate, I know what you're saying, but don't worry about it too much. The bike's still under warranty so just don't accept it back until you're happy with it. Any complaint not addressed by the dealer, head for the next closest bike shop and ask them to check out your complaint then take it from there.
Don't lose faith mate, Honda's a good make of bike and this forum's about as good as it gets. Some on here are very sharp, but hey, that's just life mate! Stick in there and hopefully we'll meet you touring in the future.

My comments were directed more to DAVSATO, no offence but this guy obviously needs help and guidance. Anyway in a seperate post he seems to be sorted. Knowing Harleston as I do and the fact that he needs the bike for work I cannot blame him for his panic. At least he seems to have a job and amen to that.

twistgrip- he does sound like stu at work and he is a halfwit, so i was only checking. and theres nothing in the guys posts to say hes a young lad, he might be "62 years old and im a high court judge!" for all we know.

hammers mate, sorry if i offended, i thought my advice was quite relevant, explain the problem and give them a chance to sort it out. if they have to keep your bike for a while then thats life im afraid, dealers dont stock parts from every year of every model, to be honest its a miracle they get hold of parts in the same week sometimes. you want to order parts from agusta westlands helicopters then. and youre on a hiding to nothing getting them to own up to cocking it up, especially when they have the bike now and they will sort it before you get it back. hopefully.
you may ask about a courtesy bike if they are going to be a few days? customer service is supposed to be one of hondas forte's after all. it'll be sorted out under warranty, dont get stressed out its not worth it
