got me cbf 125 back and honda have solved the problem for me they said it was the break lol

they would say that but i still dont see how that could affect the steering. probably given them an easy out without having to admit they'd done it.
at least its done now theres nothing worse than thinking somethings wrong with your bike and not trusting it
