    Front Sprocket

    Hi Guys

I bought a new front sprocket and chain from Honda, the sprocket has a cut out on it the same shape as the fixing plate, I thought the sprocket was fitted with the number of teeth (15) on the outside after looking at 1994 HONDA XL600VR TRANSALP TRANSMISSION - Honda Original Parts from Lings Honda v1.01 i'm not too sure!

I thought why cut out the shape of the fixing plate? The old one which came off was an aftermarket one so that was no help.

So is it fitted as per the diagram OR with the number facing out?
