What size Renthal Grips for Dakar bars???

I need to change the grips on my TA which is fitted with wide Renthal Dakar handle bars. I fitted Renthal Soft Grips in the past but they have now warn out (perhaps too soft for all year riding) and I can’t remember what size I need to buy 120mm or 125mm or which diameter???

    Anyone know please??

Easiest way to fit is spray the handlebars with carpet glue and the inside of the grip with th ecarpect glue, puncture the end of the grip where th ebar end should go and slide it on. If you don't puncture the end of the grip it will fire itself back off again

LOL i wasnt being a smart arse, sometimes measuring is the only way to tell. if they were hard to get on before, thats a good thing. if they were the wrong size, ie you were trying to get 7/8" grips on 1" bars, you'd never have done it.(i hope you would notice if you were trying to put 1" grips on 7/8" bars? lol). i believe, although i could be wrong, that all renthal bars are 7/8", including the fatbar range that are waisted down to 7/8" at the ends.
as for the length, put on whichever length you want and move your switchgear to suit, but sometimes its a juggle if youve got handguards on there too.
i use hairspray (the wifes, i assure you) use an old fashioned aerosol type with solvent in, that pump bottle stuff is rubbish. the grip slides on, the solvent dries and the grips stuck on, easy. if youve got heated grips i would use the proper grip glue, can get it from dealers. i dont know about the hole in the end, renthal bars are straight through so air escapes easily
