Centre stand lifting handle

Hi all,
I've takem my luggage rack off and looking to refit the little lift handle onto the rear plate, altough dispite trying every angle I can't see how the little 's' shaped piece fits onto any original holes, and doesn't appear to line up with any 2! anyone got any ideas or pictures in situ, I can take a couple of pics of the handle if it helps
Looking at the handle it does have signs of wear/ use so I'm guessing has been on at some point (it came in a bag of goodies from the last owner)
