dam (snake pass) thats what i get for not checking my spelling
The route is from glossop A57 towards sheffield, turn left at ladybower reservoir down track road towards langsett, left on the A616 to holmfirth, out of holmfirth on the A6024 back to glossop. 45 miles take about 2 hours.
That sounds like a great ride, the Peaks are superb, Sadly though i can't make this one (100k mountainbike race in the Cotswolds).Originally Posted by adventurer

Thats where Me and Roy / The Red Setter stayed en-route to Kemble and the highlands last year.
We went over the snake pass in that Hurricane that hit Birmingham.. we passed it on our way north.
What was not fun was going up and over snake pass, with full panniers, and getting blown across almost both lanes of the road in places. Comming down towards the M62 was also fun.
Can recommend Ye old Cheshire Cheese about 4 miles from the Derwent / Ladyblower Dams.
