First Aid Training

Hello there,

I'm looking to try and get on to a St Johns First Aid course by the end of May. They run courses which are specifically aimed at motorcyclists, but are willing to tailor them towards the a specific groups needs (e.g. Off-road spills).

I've got two options:

1. Piggy back another groups course over the next few weeks..
or
2. Organise a group myself (min 6 people).

Their courses run for the duration of a Saturday morning and cost about £35+vat, which is extremely good value.

The location of the course will be somewhere within Sussex (Crawley, Eastbourne, Worthing) and will be confirmed by SJA if it looks as if we can get the numbers. Obviously north of the county will make sense for most of us, so I'll try to arrange this.

The dates I was thinking about are either the 6th or the 20th of May.

What do you think? Anybody interested in going on this? If so, let me know which are you preferred dates. I'll then take the most popular date, offer this up again for final numbers. Then it's just a matter of booking it with St Johns.

Excellent, thanks for the response so far. I've managed to get a provisional booking sorted, though May is pretty heavily booked.

Saturday the 6th (Apologies John, that's all they had for May).

9.00am - 1.00pm.

Minimum of 8 places.
Maximum of 12.

£55 pp.

Can you let me know if you, your spouse or any mates fancy this and can make it on the above date? If we get at least 8, I'll give them a call next Tuesday to confirm.

BUT

I regulary run First Aid Courses from 4 hours up to 4 days and can tailor them for anything. My company runs the First Aid training for FREEWHEELERS who are the local blood bike charity so we are experienced at running bike specific courses.

I normally run the mountain based courses but either my collegue (who is a paramedic and keen motorcyclist) or I can run bike specific courses.

I would be considerably cheaper than SJA
