    Green Laning

I'd like to invite Bike magazine to a green laning rideout.
I'd like them to run an article profiling the bikes we use and to show what fun you can have straying off the road.
Before I do that I want some thoughts on a totally legal route that we might follow.
I'm tending towards something in the Welsh valleys at the moment.

Bob perhaps we could get Paul involved as he seems to know some of the routes quite well.

Any interest in this, and anyone up for helping to create a route?

Mr Mabel and Me would be interested Dave, when you looking to do it. MAy and June are really busy months for us but may be able to do something in July to help out

I like the idea of having a GS there as one of the ideas is to show that you can have just as good a time on an older and cheaper adventure bike as on a new shiny expensive one.
An ideal situation would be to have a Varadero, Transalp, Dominator, Africa Twin, GS, and any other makes....

As to the dates well that's probably about right.

I was planning on making him leave the bucket of bolts at home, but if you would really like to see the GS being thrashed by proper bikesl, how can I argue

I've just had a reply back from John Westlake the editor saying that he thinks they'll be interested.
He's going to see how they could weave it in to any features that they're planning to do and will get back to me.

I'd love to do something like this, how are the Mendips for off road opportunities? My In-laws are near by with free B&B! BTW, there's probably another three spaces plus floor, if required!

    Cheers

    Hi Dave,

You want Paul to show you some 'legal' routes........... ..........sorry I nearly fell off my chair.

Seriously there are more byways (rather than rupps, ucr's etc) this side of the bridge. What are you doing this Saturday ? I can show you a good route around Bristol/Bath or maybe further afield.

    cheers, Bob.
