Northern France 2007?
Just got back from the Picardy and Pas de Calais area of Northern France wiv my good lady (in the car). Very pleasent suprise. Great beaches and lots of interesting things to see. St Valery is where William set off in 1066, french kicked english arse. Agincourt 1415, english kicked french arse. The Somme, far too many arses kicked! 2 great biker friendly B&Bs to recommend. The Long House, Beaurainville and The Orchard Farmhouse in Combles (martinpegler.com). Both run by english bikers and partners who have set up over there (TRX850 and GS1150 riders) and they have secure parking for your bikes. Cost is approx 50E for 2. The Orchard is right on the Somme front line and Martin is an ex Royal Armaments first world war expert (Worked in The Tower of London!)and is willing to take out big traillies on a history tour using the local green lanes. I might try to put something together next year. Great location for a long weekend away without costing a fortune.
Where ever you go...there you are...
