Le Mans 24 Hour Trip 2007

Anyone up for this April next year? we go down every year for our usual "fix" of 24 hours of complete and utter mayhem.

It would be good if we could get an XRV.org group together, for a ride down.

Leave Portsmouth on Friday night on the 11 oclock boat last year cost me £42 return ticket !!! get into Le Havre at 7.30 on Saturday morning wonderfull blast down about 200 miles, stop at a great little cafe i know for huge omellete and coffee. Get to the track about 12. Get the tent up, i know a good place. Race starts at 3 goes on until 3 the next day, that night will just be a alcholic blur. Leave the circuit next day, Sunday about 12 get up to Le Havre for the 5 oclock sailing back in blighty at about 9pm Sunday night

Boys, it is awesome a MUST BE DONE biking event

    anyone up for it?

Thats a definiete yes then Chad, well done good decision , you know it makes sense, get your passport out and put the foot down with Mrs Chad.

Annas coming on the back, so i will be on the mighty Varadero and Ben my old mate will be on his hideously used and abused Fireblade it was lasr chain lubed in the 90,s no throttle a simple OFF/FLAT OUT switch, and Ian will be on his RC30 and there will be others. Ask Ian nicely and he will give you a go on the RC, he is good like that

    Whose next?

The dates i have but they are still provisional are 21/22 April 2007

I raced there in 2002 with team BFP not my favorite track, very stop/start. The right hand uphill bend after the pits/main grandstand is completely mental 160 to 170mph with your knee on the ground (the factory boys are probably slightly north of 180mph here !!) , then back 3 gears, throw the bike immediatly left and then right, and hard on the gas and slight power wheelie as you go under the Dunlop bridge.

It is allways a good crack. I will post this in the calendar, the best place to meet is at Portsmouth at the ferry terminal on the Friday night

You're gonna have to get a left hand drive conversion kit for Marmite before you go Chad!

Or just a French Kit: Stripy jumper, string of onions, beret and some garlic chewing gum
