What's a VIM? VIM stands for Varadero International Meeting and will be held for the 9th time this year. The first VIM was held in 1999 and since '99 we have been visiting The Netherlands (99), Luxembourg (2000), Austria (2001), Greece (2002), Germany (2003), Portugal (2004), Poland (2005) and last year the isle of Sicily, Italy (2006). It has become a real international rally with in average Varadero, Transalp and @ Twin riders from 18 different nations participating. As far as Russia, Norway, Turkey and beyond!

And what about this years VIM?
As you are aware the registration for VIM9 - Varadero International Meeting - has started early December 2006. When you look at the site you will see that members from UK and Ireland will not be allowed to register, this has been done on purpose in order that the visitors from the wider VIM community will get first pick of the accommodation.
Registration of partipants from the UK and Ireland will start this month (January 2007). Don't worry, there is enough space to accomodate every one!
Available are:
- Pitching up your own tent;
- Mobile homes (sharing);
- Appartements (single bedroom and sharing 2/3 bedrooms)
- Hotel (*)
(*) The hotel is NOT on the VIM compound, but 2 miles away DOWNHILL (3 km). The VIM Team is encouraging people to stay at the VIM camp; if the hotel is the accommodation of your choose, please notice that there will be no shuttle service available...
We believe that there will be enough accommodation for all who are coming so don’t panic. The date of opening for the UK and Ireland will be 1st of January 2007.
PLEASE NOTICE:
The closing dates for both VIM registration and the final date for money to be paid will be St Patrick’s Day March 17th 2007.
If we do not have received your subscription fee, your reservation will be canceled. No exeptions will be made.
You will also see a change in the way you book Vim if you have been before. The booking system will be along the lines of booking a ferry as follows;
Participants will pay a fixed Per person cost, (VIM registration fee) after which they will be asked which type of accommodation they require.
All accommodation is on a shared basis, meaning that only one person has to book the accommodation he/she will be the lead-booking name.
Any person who is sharing with this person will then have to pay the lead booking name for their part of the accommodation.
Persons who are sharing accommodation and have paid the lead-booking name for their share of the cost will be prompted on the web site to enter sharing.
After this they will have to provide the lead-booking name. The cost for sharing should only be the per person (VIM registration fee)
