About 3 hours on a good run....nice thrash down the A303 past Stonehenge....can even hire some surfboards when we're down there if you're fond of dressing in wet rubber!

Not so sure about the wet rubber suit but the place sounds ok
Do you any decent campsites down there?

    Re: Camping in May?

There's a few yeah...although I usually go down at the end of October time to catch the biggish waves and tend to stay in B&B's.

I know there's a few sites but the only one I've sampled personally is basic to say the least!

I'll have a dig about and see what I can find though "camping croyde" in google should yield plenty of results!

    Re: Camping in May?

I may be up for this, I've got my leave card signed by the family for a weekend away camping in April, I might be able to wangle another one for May.

Another location might be central Wales, this is where I hope to be going in April. Loads of great routes and trails around the Elan Valley area, Abergsywn Pass etc. Stayed at this campsite last year in the camper van, seemed quite nice although no pub nearby

As ever, I'll be up for this - work permitting. Other options include the New Forest, the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean. All good places for a couple of nights camping.
