Salisbury Plain Run Sunday 30th Dec

A chance to sample the highs and lows of Salisbury Plain. We should be able to check out the Western end containing Imber village which was abandoned in the war. It only gets open this time of year. I'll try to pick an easy route including Byways.

Barftone, sounds good to me. Not been off road since the Stella. What sort of terrain will it be as I have Anachee tyres on my bike and won't be changing them over the winter. Will I be OK?

The Byways are mainly open and easy going although at this time of year they could be snow covered and/or a bit muddy. The road to Imber is tarmac. I'll try to plan a route so there are no nasty surprises for big trail bikes (however these are the bits you always remember ). No cheating by turning up on small trail/enduro bikes!! If there is a group of you with smaller bikes I suggest joining us for brekky and then heading off on a separate run. There will also be a mountain bike challenge going on on the Plain on the Sunday but that should not be a problem.

I will throw my hat in on to this one.. but it always seems like sign up for the Plains and something goes wrong! and i dont make it.. could be fun though
