Ladies' Day - Sunday 17th August - Milton Keynes

    Confirmation for the Ladies' Day:

    Date: Sunday 17th August
    Location: Milton Keynes
    Instructor: The Lovely Stanbloke
    Places: Open to 8 people
Experience: None required - doesn't matter if you've never ridden a motorbike before

Stanbloke's boss will be bringing along a couple of 600cc bikes, couple of 125cc bikes and a scooter for Princess Leah.

We're looking into a B&B for the Saturday night in case anyone has a long way to travel. I will most likely be staying over on the Saturday night and we can get together to have a meal and glass of wine.

You're more than welcome to bring your other halves with you but on the actual training day it will be ladies' only. Your partners will be expected to amuse themselves elsewhere.

As there will be bikes there to use (no charge) you don't have to bring your motorbike if you don't want to.

If any of you ladies fancy just having a go, please come along. It will all be in a huge carpark so you don't have to worry about going out on the road. It is not necessary for you have ever sat on a motorcycle before

If there is anything in particular you would like to know or any part of your riding you would like assistance with, just drop stanbloke a pm and he'll be able to sort you out on the day.

So it's not too overcrowded and stan has time for everyone the day is limited to 8 people I'm afraid and it will be first come, first served.

Robster did you want to ask Yvonne if she'd like to come along? And if any of you guys think your lady might like to come they're more than welcome.

Sharribee you've got a pm about it.

So come on ladies, sign up and come have a great day out.

Post on here if you want to come and also if you would like to stay over. More details on a B&B as we find one.

If the Gents are coming with the Ladies, and want to leave their knobblies on, then we could have a "Gents Dirty Day" running at the same time. Would keep the on-lookers down!!

There are some good routes around the MK area, suprisingly good given we are pretty flat and farmlandy.

Hi. I'd be very interested in this. But first I should introduce myself. I've been lurking here for a while and love the site. So far, though, I've only ridden pillion on a friend's Vara. However, doing so has really given me the biking bug. Haven't yet been brave enough to learn - at the grand old age of 50 I figured I've probably left it too late. But this day would be a fantastic way of dipping my toes in the water (not too literally yet, I hope ).

So, if there is a space available, please count me in. If spaces are short, then fair enough to give priority to longer-serving members. I have all the gear, but no bike. Wouldn't need to stay over as I have family in MK, and besides am only up the road in Leicestershire.
