    Something in Ireland

Is anyone on this island interested in arranging a meet in Ireland, north or south for sometime in September? Thinking long the lines of chosing a base for a few days, some riding, some socializing etc. nothing too major. Not looking for suggestions just for a few people interested in helping out with ideas, organizing etc.

Tell you what, let's organise something in Donegal - then I can stay at the Mother-in-Laws.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Lutin, b4 this threads heads of in an open discussion about when and where - and we all know what grief that can lead to, just to recap that I'm initially looking for a few people to help, then we can do some organizing off line and come back with the details and then its a case of if suits then come, if it doesn't then don't.

Fair enough. Were you thinking of camping or bunk house / B&B as a base?

... there you are, I haven't even thought about that yet! I'm at the stage of looking for a few volunteers to help me make such decisions.

In an ideal world you need to find somewhere that has all three close together and in close proximity to a pub that does food. Gives everybody a choice then.

    Re: Something in Ireland

Right, lets get this kicked off properly. There are two hostel associations in Ireland. Firstly there's the Irish Youth Hostel Association (YHA Ireland or An Óige) here -

    http://www.anoige.ie/home

And then there's Independent Holiday Hostels here -

    http://www.hostels-ireland.com/index.php

So, maybe pick one of these for a base??? Doing that would allow others that want to camp / B&B to find somewhere in the vicinity.

    Just some ideas.

Nudge it back a month due to the national (I know it's not an Irish National) meet in September and I'll try to come over.

    Hi
I am in the NW too and would be interested in helping arrange some sort of september meet. My annual leave is that month, so would like to get some ideas in asap.
Let me know when and where you want to meet up.
