Well i tried to go, but 6am riding along in the dark bike developed a fault and started running on 1 cylinder, so looks like i've not fixed the electrical fault after all. Gutted i missed out hope you all had a good time and the rain held off.

Got back at half 5. Bike and rider left muddier in the morning than when they got back in! I also claimed first drop of the day

Great ride out, many thanks again for the warm welcome.

I'm sure some photos will be along shortly and Whealie had his on-board cam up and running so there should be video too.

The state of the bike - not too dirty really. There was lots of water about that diluted the mud somewhat and the rain on the way back washed most of the muck off.

The plain was superb with lots of puddles of unknown and variable depth and some wonderful hidden surprises. I had a little involuntary excursion between the marker posts and into the unexploded munitions area after getting the bike horribly crossed up and sideways in a massive rut in one of the bigger puddles.

At the end of the run we even got a police escort to the cafe. Top copper

I had a great day out and it was good to put faces to the names. Many thanks for organising the ride. Once my camera dries out I'll see if there are any pics worth posting.

Are you sure I wasn''t in front of you at that point? I was hoping you got my sideways ditch jumping on video.

The A and C also have a different rear subframe

The new 2008 model (only available in the US) really could be described as a ADV/ do it all kinda bike
