Elizabeth Kubler-Ross: Quotes: Adventure
It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it were the only one we had.
Frad,
myself and some colleagues from work should be attending, free tickets through work though, to be honest it's not as big as the NEC and I was disappointed with that this year, (despite free tickets again), seemed like their objective this year was to pack the upper section with sellers, who weren't really discounting any more than you'd have got on their website, and the lower section just seemed a bit sparse, (why they wouldn't let anyone over 8 years old go on the mini moto x bikes was beyond me, looked like lots of fun)
The manchester show in years past has been the source of some real bargains, I got a rukka jacket, previous years issue, for £150 less than retail, but if I was a paying punter, for the money they're charging for entrance I'd expect something a lot larger. On the other hand though I've done tiling, and I'd agree that anything is better than trying to convince my wife that I meant to impart a sort of crazy paving effect to the walls of an en-suite, and that it's all the rage in society bathrooms .
I`m going on Friday.
I`ve always enjoyed the GMEX Show.
Although I`ve said it before, the key is to not expect a Northern version of the NEC.
It`s more a show for local-ish traders and dealers.
Go as a brochure hunting shiny bike lever puller and throttle twister and you`ll leave very disappointed.
Go to see and buy bits and pieces such as clothing and accessories..plus to see bike related services such as paintwork, repair and cleaning....as well as to see a few dealer displays....with some riding displays thrown in too...and you`ll enjoy a good day out.
We'll be there Sunday.

Mainly Trade stands as predicted by some, Paul -S my son and I went on Saturday and we all enjoyed it.
Sure there was not much in the way of new bikes and what there was were shown by dealerships and not Manufacturers, but still a good day out, and managed to bag a few small items and a pair of winter gloves.
So all in all better than tiling the bathroom which I am supposed to be doing instead of being on here![]()

I second that Frad, sure it's no competition for the NEC but still plenty to see & still ended up spending a fortune....
Set in an impressive & beautiful converted Victorian railway station too

I was there Sat. morning. Just like Frad said a typical trade fair. It was good, gave me the chance to buy a couple of things cheap and have a Chat with Manchester TRF guys, a sit on the Harleys and check out the F800GS and Ducati Hypermotard !!
