West End Cafe Llandovery

There's also a food/coffee stop at RAC corner on the A470 in the Brecon Beacons. It's just south of the Storey Arms.

I'll sticky this and us mods will delete all the off topic posts OK?

Good thinking Mike about the "Sticky".

Hopefully this thread (when organized)will become an "Address book" for Cafes etc to be used by anyone who wants to organize a rideout or meetup for forum members throughout the year. .

The suggestions need to cover the whole country (This does include Ireland too ) Thanks guys / gals.

Stan .

Re: Cafes/ meeting points

Bury hill, near Arundel in Sussex always bikes there the cafes not bad for a burger,a bit like a mini version of Rykas. Best of all it,s a really nice ride from Rykas to Bury about 40mins along a good twisty country road and some fast Dual carrigeways.

Have a check round your areas guys/gals and lets see what we can come up with for suitable places for 09.

decent roads around it, parking, decent grub..

Maybe we can get a list together which may be useful for this summers rideouts .

Pottery's Cafe on the B4265, 1 mile from the A48 Ewenny roundabout, good grub, milky coffee's in a mug and a hearty breakfast that is reasonably priced and with the "add ons" would mange to fill even the hungriest dude or dudette. Watch out for the car park, its wall to wall gravel but if driven slowly I'm sure everyone will be ok. Also, ignore the funny looks you get from everyone inside, just say Good morning or afternoon and they'll not know where to put their faces

closely followed by this little gem of a cafe, The Downs Cafe on the A48 just outside Cowbridge. It’s tucked in off the road and is signposted (its behind the garage) usual suspects include a set menu (bit posh I hear u say for a cafe) but you can mix and match to suit your needs. Sunday is a good day as it’s often packed with other bikers.
Phil’s Cafe on the Bridgend Industrial Estate ( behind the Pied Piper Pub ) just off the A48 at the B&Q roundabout is worthy of a mention to. Busy car park bikers welcome, not open on a Sunday though so one of the above is a better alternative on the weekends

The Tower Cafe at Llandow open Monday to Saturday off the B4268 Llantwit Major Road (turn right or left depending on which way you come past go kart track, and then about 3/4 a mile down the road turn left into estate and it just up on the right) Good grub, good prices and nice staff. It’s only a small place so it might be tight if there are a lot of you.

Alton Station Cafe, Station Road, Alton, Hants. GU34 2TZ. Owners David Aylmore and Allan Jones are bikers themselves and know a thing or two about good breakfasts.
