    Cafes/ meeting points

We all know about Rykas , Jellies and Ace cafe, but are there any more that we can use .

Have a check round your areas guys/gals and lets see what we can come up with for suitable places for 09.

decent roads around it, parking, decent grub..

Maybe we can get a list together which may be useful for this summers rideouts .

Would the Railway Tavern in Gypsy Hill be O.K.
Years ago used to be the meeting place of a bike club.

Fox's Diner in Dorchester, just outside Oxford, never been there but I did read somewhere the coffee is better than the Ace, not that that's difficult

Yep, good idea for a thread. Can't speak of any of these from personal experience, and a lot are pubs rather than caffs, but might be a useful starting point

    Re: Cafes/ meeting points

    Here's a short list of some of my favourites;

    KENT

Both of these are near Brands Hatch

A20 Wrotham Heath (or where the M20 & M26 converge) is the "OAKDENE CAFE". Full blown biker cafe, open Wednesday's til 10pm and Sunday

A20 couple of miles further south is the "JUNGLE CAFE" whih has better food

    SURREY

Godstone Village J6 of the M25. "THE BUILDERS BUN" which is located inside Fairalls Builders Merchant. EXCELLENT food, lovely ladies.

The village of Brasted on the A25 has an excellent biker friendly coffee shop called "96 degrees"

    SUSSEX

The "BUNGALOW CAFE" is just South of Cowfold on the A281. Very close is the EXCELLENT A272 which is dreamy on a summers day.

"BILLS" cafe and produce store is EXCELLENT and will appeal to all the organic and veggie types. Opposite the Harvey's Brewery in Lewes this is not a biker cafe but is WELL worth a visit. Chances are, you will have to wait for a table.

"JAVA & JAZZ" is a coffee, pizza pasta place in Forest Row on the A22. Good for a nice caffeine shot and to people watch, but also the beautiful Ashdown Forest is just up the road.

"WESSONS" (formerley the Ogri Cafe) is situated in Horam on the A267. This is a nice biker cafe and shop with great atmosphere and music and awesome food. Sort of an Ace Cafe style about it.

    That's all for now folks!!

There's also H's Cafe on the A2 just to the east of Canterbury:

Never seen another @ there, in fact there don't seem to be any xrv's in east Kent except for me & pxlpig.....plenty of BM GS's & KTM's though!

    Re: Cafes/ meeting points

There must be some lorry drivers on here with expert knowledge of good transport cafes

I often go to the Hollies on the way to any events in the NEC. It is situated about 1 mile eastbound on the A5 off the junction 12 M6 just after the speed (er safety) camera

The other one I frequent (ooh er) is the Red Rooster M6 J 40 200yds eastbound towards Penrith in the Lake District, jsut off the small roundabout with the petrol station on it

Both have non greasy food, good quality at good prices

02 RD07a RWB, Powerbronze tall screen, Remus Grand Prix, TT crash bars, TT pannier frame, Zega style panniers, Alpos top box,TT bar risers, TT headlamp guard, Heated grips, mainstand, Heidenau K60s for road and light offroad, TKC80s for the dirty stuff, Scottoiler, Autocomm, TT Zumo mount, Zumo 550 and most of all A BIG GRIN !!! Oh, and a very nice RD04 HRC coloured Marathon Replica
