Hello guys I'm going to have a ride to the london bike show, as long as the weathers ok!! and I mean not flooded, frozen or snowed in! Maybe the thursday 29th or friday 30th, depends on who wants to go. Can't do the weekend as it's my burthday and I shall mainly be drunk...

    Hi Wayne.

Have just confirmed that my mate (Derek) and myself are going on Friday (30th), If you or any other XRV'ers are going let me know and I will PM you my Mobile No so we can meet up for a brew and a Bakewell, We will be traveling in from the West if anyone else is going that way to ExCel.

Well What can I say.... Went to the London Bikeshow yesterday (Friday) and in my (and my mates) opinion, a total waste of money.

When we went we kew there would nothing new in the way of bikes to see as we had been to the NEC show but the main reason we went was to get some discounted gear, I wanted a new helmet but the only good deals were for XS size or discontinued lines.

My Mate managed to get a pair of boots £10 cheaper than in the shops and I managed to meet some "realy nice people" there, so the day was not wasted totaly, but £18 to get in?, not good value I think.

    See, Very nice people indeed!

If it cost £18 to get in and your mate saved £10 on the boots, he was ripped off as it cost him £8 more than in the shops.

I go to the NEC for a day out and as I managed to save over £100 on the bike insurance and £100 on a new jacket it was worth it. The other shows always seem like poor imitations of the main show so I save my money.

i was working down the road and popped in. last year was dire, this year was better in that they got some manufacturers to attend but £18 for what was a 45 min walkround was a rip off. no doubt MCN will have headlines saying what a huge success it was. wont be going to the NEC or Excel again. - looking at doing the Cologne show this year.

Same here, last year I was doing overtime down the road and had advance tickets so popped in, was out in about 30 minutes. If I hadn't been paid whilst wasting my time there I think I would've done my raving na-na.
