    North east ride out?Greenlaning?

Anyone in the north east up for a bit of light greenlaning?

    North east= newcastle ish area.
Planning on heading to rothbury area as i know of some greenlanes in that area, but would consider other places fairly local to newcastle.
    Harwood forest?
    Kielder forest?
(It's too cold to be riding long distance to get to the lanes)

Is there actually anyone on here from the north east?

id deffo be up for it, id just need a bit of notice to get a baby sitter for the day as the wife is going away for 2 months,

Id be on the AT but ill have a go at anything, there are some good lanes this way on the northyork moors but that would be a 1-2 hour ride to them for u as it takes me about 45 mins,

    Re: North east ride out?Greenlaning?

Normally a 1-2 hour ride would be no probs at all,but i'm a little reluctant in this weather

I dont think i could handle more than 30mins of motorway as my bike gives 0 wind protection
I'd be on my slr with road bias tyres (avon distanzias) however, i'm happy to try even the toughest of lanes, but as long as theres a couple of hills i'm happy

I dont know of any lanes midway between newcastle and catterick, but if we could find some it would be the ideal situation?
