Nope, March 25th is a quarter day. It's called Lady Day.

Whilst swapping compLETEly pointless information, when studying land law I was told how to remember the quarter-days: one is Christmas day which any fool can remember; three months on is March, which has five letters hence the twenty-FIFTH; three months on is June, which has four letters hence the twenty-FOURTH; next is September which has nine letters hence the twenty-NINTH. I was told that this is no coincidence but was actually designed that way to ensure that illiterate staff and labourers would know when the quarter-days were (those days being of great importance in the pre-industrial economy).

In more than fifty years on this good earth,I had never heard of Quarter days until now I would have come under "Illiterate staff" I 'spose ? ( In may favour,I did spend 25/30 years abroad )

Lady Day was also the first day of the year in the British Empire until 1752. The British tax year still starts on 'Old' Lady Day (6 April under the Gregorian calendar corresponded to 25 March under the Julian calendar).
