Yeah, I used to have a 1983 station wagon, wife made me sell it after 8 years, she wanted something posher.Did spend quite alot of time fixing it.

The ferries would need carefull timing and since 11 to 12 seems to be the time, probably not enought time.

How about down to Oban, Loch Goilhead, Inverary,Taynuilt, b road to Baracaldine then retun, Could get some food in Oban? 161 miles or take a shortcut up loch Awe, either side 130 or 142 miles.

Or a quick blast to Fort Augustus or/and Mallaig.

I don't mind but I guess most folk will have come up thru Glen Coe, probably don't want to do that again.

Yes, that by far the best idea, too much planning can spoil the fun.

Not wanting to formally "plan" anything but what about across the Corran ferry and out to Ardamurchan, explore around the area and see how it goes from there, I've never been out there, my legs gave out on my pushbike a couple of years ago at Salen !! Just a suggestion.

There's a few pics of Ardnamurchan from the first Haggis Run a few years ago, in this post...

Hope the weather's that good too!

999Mike, I'm still not sure of my plans for Glencoe yet but I see you're planning to travel up on Saturday morning. Might be good to meet up beforehand, where abouts in Cumbria are you?

If you travel on Saturday, what sort of time would you get to the start of lochlomond. Roughly.

I might go down to Glasgow on the Friday to get some keys done.

I was considering Friday to travel up but wouldn't be able to set off until 5ish or so after work, maybe a bit late getting up there say 9-9.30pm for hammering in tent pegs and general rustling and swearing coz my tent won't do what it's supposed to!! Unless people up ther don't mind some free entertainment at that hour.

I live near Workington, surrounded by infernal windmills, so many now some have buggered off into the Solway.

I'm aiming ride up to Glencoe on Friday at some point, I'm hoping to get an afternoon off work. Is anything planned for Saturday? Ardnamurchan?
