Don,t want to rub it in guys un gals but hell it was BLOODY HOT anyway the road beckoned so i punched Montpazier into the satnav!!! fat chance she only knew half the roads good job i took a map but we had all day and a 1HR run took 2hrs and pulled into Montpazier just in time for lunch French style 1hr 20min Let the little lady do some WINDOW shopping and off again for Chateau des Milandes 8euros each to get in so just took a photo of the outside ( no im not from Yorkshire) but ive seen insid another one and i guess they,re all the same so off we go again satnav in top box i think i know where we are????? just keep the sun behind us and hope i see a sign for La Roque-Gageac but after 15mins there she is good job the smokes are running out.
Got home about 7pm and only did 200klm or so of fantastic back roads.

Re: 31° and Hazy Sun

Can't say it's 31oC today, but I ain't complaining at 28oC on the porch.

Always enjoy seeing others photos, so have updated my Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/potski-photos/ today with some more recent photos taken over the last few days on a riding jolly here in the French Pyrenees...

2 Transalps, my mate Johns 87 model and my old trusty 88 model, both in silver. (ok I know winterslake blue is the proper name, but looks silver to me), good weather, good views, good company and good ol Honda v twins. Neither bike missed a beat despite having a combined age of 43 years!! Honda sure built em well!

First day was spent mostly on forest and mountain trails and then next day when I was 2 up with Mrs Potski, we stayed on the no less scenic surfaced routes. Still pulled up the passes well 2 up even with its 16 tooth front sprocket on.

As Phil said... "BLOODY HOT", but the weird thing was loads of snow still lying around up in the mountains. I'll never get used to it being hot yet with snow around. Ended up sunbathing in my undies and cooling off in the snow, but don't worry no frightening photos like that, only bike/mountain ones.

Cheers

Potski & Mrs Potski (today)

Re: 31° and Hazy Sun

Hi Phil,
Nice looking 99 double discer you had there. Probably the best of the Transalps in my humble opinion. The following 650 model didn't really catch my eye; no doubt it's a superb bike though.
Yeah, it would be great to meet up and certainly let me know if you are heading down our neck of the woods...we are near to Foix/Mirepoix in the Ariege.

Ride Safe
Cheers
Potski
