    Re: XRV Bike Safe Day

I'd be interested in doing it . I did it a few years ago just after i passed my test , and found it very usefull , and a great day . I understand trying to get first timers involved , but i would love to do it as part of XRV if not enough first timers signed up .
I did it from "The Ace" , and the roads used weren't great ( north circular Aly Pally and some i don't remember ), i don't know the "Warren" but im easy where ever .

Sarf London. There are loads of country roads nearby (and roads called Corkscrew hill, for example).

I wanted to learn to filter and on a cold February it took a while to find some traffic in Beckenham.
edit: Corkscrew Hill is very nearby (left of the map, The Warren is to the right, where the arrow is)

    Re: XRV Bike Safe Day

I'll call them tomorrow - looking at the dates available at The Warren, seems like Saturday 29th August is the most likely, but it doesn't say if others have booked that day.

I'd like to get a day exclusively for xrv members if I could.

    Re: XRV Bike Safe Day

    YES PLEASE !!!

BUT ONLY IF IT'S AT THE WARREN.

I'm free in August (except 14th) and hopefully will have been paid by then!!!!!!

I've always wanted to do one of these days.

I used to live at the top of Corkscrew Hill, and attend teenage rave ups at The Warren when I were a slip of a lad!!!!!!

    Nice one, well done

    Bob

    Re: XRV Bike Safe Day

    UPDATE:

Saturday 29th August has been reserved for us as an XRV bikesafe Day.

    Location: The Warren Kent.

    Important:

Please book your place by calling 08452 307 407.

When you call give them the reference xrv.org.uk or you may be told there's no places as the day is being kept exclusively for us.

The cost is £30 all inclusive.

I have put the event in the calendar. Please only put your name on the calendar ONCE YOU HAVE BOOKED AND PAID FOR YOUR COURSE.

That way I can keep track of numbers.

The date is only being held for us until Friday. So get booking.

By the way - pillions are very welcome. You just declare them when you book and pay an extra £12.50 to cover their lunch. I did one with my daughter as pillion. Great fun, and you get loads of tips and hints specificallly around riding two up for a smoother ride for you and your pillion.
