MCN Reclaim Nth Wales Rideout anyone??

Is anyone here thinking of riding to the meeting points for the MCN Reclaim Nth Wales demos?

Help MCN reclaim North Wales - | Motorcycle News | Bike News | Motorbike Videos | MCN

Regardless of the politics I fancy a nice long rideout from Norfolk to Wales and home via London as there is a Mayor's festival thing on with a fireworks display that evening - late home so fix your lights!

    Anyone up for it?

If you fancy a really long ride that weekend, we'll be at the National Meet in Ullapool.

Would do but I cant get time from Fri to Mon to make that trip possible and enjoyable at the same time. Would be like 2 back to back Londest Days for me!

Anyone else with less time on their hands?

    Hello, ( New @ owner )

Out of interest how many of you have had any attention from North Wales Police when riding @s TAs and trail bikes ?

I have been riding on and off road in North Wales for years and the only time I spoke to an officer was on the trails in the Red Kite area ..... even then he just checked our route to make sure we were not riding any green lanes that we shouldnt... He even offered us a drink from his flask ! ( Coffee not Whisky )

I have been talking to a few mates who are going up to this 'demo' and it just seems to me that if your bike is in order and you are not riding at 150 plus then who cares if you get stopped in the name of safety ?

If everyone riding bikes in that area did so in a responsible manner then within 6months the Police would back off ........

    Wouldnt they ?

Never stopped on the roads when ive been through but then ive never had any issues with racism and there are laws governing how the police can and cant victimise the public due to their race - just seems that if your on a bike its okay to be victimised because it doesnt fall into racism or sectarianism guides.

For me, more of a point of awareness - dont normally listen to MCN that much, take most of what they write with a pinch of salt but ive heard too many people complain about being stopped for nothing followed by the police going over their bikes with a fine toothcomb just incase they could find something.

And it should be a nice ride with loads of fellow bikers in a beautiful area closer to home than the Highlands.

Re: MCN Reclaim Nth Wales Rideout anyone??

Me and a bunch of Versys riders will be in attendance, for the North West group this is our local patch and we have been stopped, without reason for "safety checks" no cars, or trucks were stopped, just bikes, the Chief Constable for North Wales has publicly and controversialy stated that he wants to drive bikes out of North Wales.

So are you man, or are you mouse, this year banned from North Wales, next year, South Wales, Scotland, Cornwall, who can say, this is deffo the thin edge of a nasty wedge.

I'll be on a 59 plate 1 day old black Versys with a black and white Caberg helmet, hope to see some XRVers there

There's a few of us riding to the Ponderosa meet from Stratford on Avon.

Meeting at the bike park @ 9.00 am.

Riding the nice route at a steady pace. Weather should be good for a nice ride out
