Chad mate, are you camping there? We were there a couple of weeks ago and ended with the tent ending in the bin!
The wind and driving rain was horrendous and kept us up most of the night as the tent tried to collapse on us! A broken pole was the demise of the tent, my good Vango, had it for years,,, sob!
Admittedly, the tent was due renewal any way as it had a leak in the porch area so it was its last outing any way!
That said, the forecast is good for the weekend although I'd recommend cold weather gear as the clear skies will drop the temps close to freezing overnight! You never know, I might break out the Mighty Vara following its service on Saturday morning and head south for a run!
    Might see you mate.

that is 3 ENORMOUS days. Fort Bill to top of scotland round must be 500 miles and Essex to Fort Bill is over 500. Definitely a baptism of fire.

I've got the GF over this weekend, otherwise I would've loved to come along.

Somehow I don't think 3 days on the bike and camping in near freezing temperatures is "easing my girlfriend into the biking & camping experience"...

Can't make this either Chad - short notice, cannot rearrange commitments or get hols at short notice

Fort William is 4 hours from mine. If you are getting stuck or having difficulty on travel you could both stop over at mine Friday night and then head off dark o'clock saturday morning if you need to

See you next time, have a great one
