Hi everyone, update on the wedding plans, me and africajim found that trying to get married in Italy was turning out to be complicated and stressful, the people at Bardonecchia said we could not book a date until 3 months before, how can we organise a continental wedding in that time, so we will be getting married in a secret location in scotland then head off to italy for our honeymoon and celabrations as originally planned with all our biker friends at the Stella Alpina, see you all there.

Fiona it is unfortunate that the Italians are not playing ball but it will be a special secret location wedding and a Stella-tas-tic time

as it is everywhere else and then you have to wait until after you are married to see what real stress feels like! lol

Fiona Jim my very best wishes and I am sorry the original plan couldn't work out......I would blame the translator if I were you ! would have loved to be there to toast to the newly wed but it doesn't look likely! All the very best and "VIVA GLI SPOSI" XRV'rs take note, it is Italian for "long live the bride and groom". Traditional wedding wish with full galss of old vino!

I thought I'd ressurect this thread with an update from the 'moob' department. Barftone has secured us a booking on the motorail, a new service from Hertenbosch (Holland) to Koper (Slovenia). We will then head to the Dolomites for some trails/passes and then over to Bardonecchia.

We hope to see you both at some stage to wish you good luck
