hi jem, just had a thought, if you are going to do the heated grips yourself buy some new grips before you start. unless you have the strength of an angry gorilla and are as tightfisted as a yorkshireman (im guilty on both counts) you may find it very difficult to get the originals off your bike and may need to cut them off, but once you do that the bike will be unridable so get some new ones just in case. the shop will take them back if you dont need them. (use a good squirt of hairspray to slide them on).
if you wire the grips straight to the battery its an easy job, but the 1st time you leave them on you will see why thats not a good idea!
