    Honda makes most reliable bikes

Honda says the Motor Cycle News (MCN) reader survey has found Honda makes the UK’s most reliable motorcycles, taking eight positions in the top ten, with the NT700V Deauville taking the No 1 spot, with a reliability rating of 98%.

Second place went to the CBR600RR with 97%, while in third the ST1300 Pan European featured with a 96% rating. Honda’s CBR1100XX Blackbird was in fourth and the seventh to tenth places were filled by the CBR1000RR Fireblade, VFR800, VFR800 VTEC and the CBF1000.

More than 12,000 readers voted as part of MCN’s Biking Britain Survey.

MCN managing editor John Wetslake, caught out of the office, could not remember the other bikes. The survey is printed in the paper and isn't on the MCN website.

Does the survey take into account miles ridden, ie £££ spent or hours serveiced per thousand miles? I'd expect decent miles on the NT and ST and a number of the other models, but perhaps not on the no.2 CBR...

My guess is that it does factor miles in, but with MCN, you never know. RIDE is more thorough in that respect...
