Super Ténéré will be viewable in May
Yamaha has confirmed that four regional test models of its new XT1200Z Super Ténéré will be available in the UK from May and the bike will be available in dealers across the country next year.

Four journalists from the UK will be test riding the bike for more than 1,000 miles across Europe in May, including MCN, which should have a review available shortly after. Other journalists may have access to the bike in May too.
Yamaha said it had received pre-orders for the bike that is being sold on the internet only. Those who pre-ordered will received their bikes in May.
V-Max example
Yamaha trialled internet-only selling for niche bikes with the V-Max. But it said it recognised that facing competition from BMW it needed to have bikes available for dealers. Each of its four regional managers will have a Super Ténéré available for dealers to show prospective buyers.
A spokesman said: “The view was because there wasn’t going to be one available at every dealer in Europe in the first year it would only be available through the internet. Next year it will be through dealerships.
"But there is a competitor in BMW so we have adjusted our strategy. The four area managers will have one.”
