Yeah let's quietly lure him into this quiet alley and take his milk money![]()
At last a place I can come out of the closet in.
I've got a DR350 and it's as dirty as my Africa Twin.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.
1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
Are you telling me you don't green lane on your AT?
Splitter!

Tell me about your DR, Yen. I'm in the process of wearing down the boss, thinking of "investing" in an old DR to supplement the AT.Originally Posted by YEN_POWELL

I've just received authorisation to buy 2 bikes.
Just deciding.... a Varadero for the long trips or an XR400 for more of the off-road stuff. Hmmm.
Forum help and advice needed?

YES, never buy a kickstart version unless you're very fit and never fall off the thing. Oh and first thing to do is take the calipers off and grease the sliding pins with brake grease or coppaslip before they get muddy and immersed in water. Other than that just fill it with fuel, grease the supsension nipples, replace the wheel bearings every so often and change the oil occasionally.Originally Posted by Slimie
