Phot taken on the Scotland/England (Cheviot Hills) border not far from where i live, that`s the North sea on the horizon.
Rocks have a plaque dedicated to a old friend who died a few years back, it was one of his favorite spots. Great views with a real hard rocky climb from the valley below.

When folk head north into Scotland they seem to take the direct route and miss out on some great roads and scenery in the borders and especially Northumberland.
There was some good trail riding in the Cheviots until Tony Bliar and the NERC`s stuffed us. So we can`t go riding legally anymore

Had a great weekends trail riding based in Rothbury a couple of years back. Even the weather was brill. Shame my carb stuck open in just the wrong place and ended up punting me off big time!

Yep some nice trails around Rothbury and good meeting point at weekends for road riders. Still plenty of UCR`s to ride in Northumberlandbut not as good as the Cheviots we are not supposed to ride
