    Cool ktm 950

all you new ktm 950 adventurer owners out there ;if you use it off road drop the bashplate down every couple of rides and clean all the electrics rectifier , battery etc with wd40 or similar . i just got about 1lb of mud out of mine.just fitted karoo,s they seem really good off road and stable on road ;had them up to about 75-80 mph seem ok but i would not go much quicker than this or push them around corners like you can the standard pirelli scorpions

Me and HUDDERS fitted Karoo's recently, we push em through corners no problems, they seem really sticky in the wet.

oh......and they are brilliant off road

btw. these are Karoo. not the more road bias Karoo 'T'.

    Re: ktm 950

There's one for sale in Manila at the mo, 2004, 13k on the clock, looks really nice in the piccies, wants +/-UKP5,500, is this a reasonable price?
I am tempted, as BMW are taking too long with bringing the F8800GS over here.
Anyone got any suggestions as to what I should check specifically if I manage to get to see it?
If it's ok, I think the Tropical Twin, will have a stablemate perhaps.
Is it possible to fit luggage on the Adventure? Makes?

i would say 5-5500 is a average price for a 04 bike in the uk subject to condition etc.. have seen them advertised cheaper but with higher mileage
just make sure all recalls/mods have been done ( clutch and swingarm to name but two ) and it comes with a full service history
for luggage you have 2 options,go for ktm's/touratech's own or givi
i had the givi system fitted to mine
    other than that happy hunting

Will be interested to see how you get on with the Karoo's .

The preffered tyre for the 990 seems to be Dunlop's 908RR but i'm having a prob gettin some, may have to consider the Metzelers.
