    990 Endurance?

So come on you guys of the orange persuasion.. what mileage are you getting out of a tank(s) of fuel?

I always felt it was the downside to the bike, I was told that ~140 miles is normal.

    What're you guys getting?

120 ish Cie out of my 950ADV. Been a long time since I filled up (well, it is winter!) but think it was about that. It's doing about 42mpg.

160 to a tank on a regular basis.

Downside is tank size,22l, it would be nice if the big Aqualine tanks would appear at christmas. 45l yeah baby..

    Hell of a bike though..

    Cie,

How are you? S'been a long time!

I've found it depends hugely on how you ride the thing, anything from 120-ish slightly shall we say irresponsible miles to almost 180 miles one time when I had nowhere to go and all day to get there!

I have to agree with Stan, it really is one hell of a bike!!

    Re: 990 Endurance?

My fuel light comes on at about 130 miles , but I can only squeeze in about 14 - 15 litres if I refuel at that point. The range must be about 180 - 190 miles for my normal riding style.

I just refuel about every 150 miles , time for a coffee and a leg stretch about then anyway !!
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

my fuel light comes on anything between 160 and 180 and ive not managed to squeeze more than 18 ltrs in so when i get the time its going to be a petrol can strapped to the bike and run it till its dry... and see the mileage then

Maybe but you start moaning about needing coffee or food after about 80 miles so you never ,ever will get to the 160 anyway

That is working out at about 40-45mpg while running in about average it should improve once the engine has settled down.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
