    Re: Honda Cb1300

    Hi Rog,

I have a CB1300 and its an awesome bike. Not only does it look like a proper motorcycle it goes like one aswell. Yes it's no sports bike but it only really struggles to keep up with the pocket rockets on:-

    A. Really twisty roads, it is a big lump to try and throw around tight bends but considering its size it is manueverable.

    B. When the speeds creep into the silly area. Anything over 90 has you nodding like the churchill dog on acid. Mine has a small fly screen covering the clocks but trying to hide my 6'2 frame behind this is mission impossible.(bloody good fun trying though!?)

I traded in my ZX9R for mine and what i lost in acceleration and top end speed i gained in TORQUE. These bikes will pull smoothly no matter what gear you find yourself in.

Mine has a blue flame dual port end can and without the baffle and plug in it sounds the business.

I know that i'm biased but out of all the big retro bikes the CB has the edge on the zrx/gsx/xjr. I test rode all four before deciding on the CB.

If you get it you won't be disappointed.

I'm 6'4" and a bit and find the CB really comfy!

it's a better bike than i am a rider and at no point did it do anything untoward, scary or to make me feel that it was anything other that highly competent and bombproof!

the guys who's bike i tried wrote it off in Germany (it's a great tourer!) and then got another one (the one with the fairing this time!)

    speaks volumes!

Thanks for the info guys, the red and white is the choice of colour (Rosie) and I do like the S with the half fairing, the one I saw in J2 Southampton was new unreg'd but an 2007 ABS model with a red frame and gold wheels (OOh! so sweet), I just wanted to get some feedback before I try one and the rose tinted classes fire up... And I bet they will too

    Re: Honda Cb1300

We have a crisis here Huston..... This morning I went to Reading Honda, (Big Mistake) and they had a red and white CB1300SA demo bike so, I had to do it, I took it out for a test ride and... What a piece of kit, everything you guys said about it is true, it pulls like a bl**dy train, 100% together bike. So, I am going to think about this for the next few seconds and decide wether to get rid of the VL1500 and get the CB......
Errr...... anyone want to buy a VL1500LC Intruder????
