    New (old) Bike

Just agreed to buy a red 96 VFR as a 'project' bike.
Been looking at all sorts of bikes, makes and styles, finally ended up with VFR.
Only got 14000miles on it and needs some cleaning up/fettling.

Hope I've made a good choice as a stable mate to the TA

Should be OK at that mileage, and age shouldn't matter ! - I owned a '96 VFR for about 5 years and never had any real probs.

The only thing I remember ( apart from regulator/rectifier (?) issue ) is if the rear exhaust primaries need replacing, it's an engine out job. Oh, and water/muck can sit on top of the collector box and rot it iirc.

red VFR? thats the best colour,i had a 1989 one in 1990 i think the only probs are what Baggy pointed out.
14,000 miles? only just run-in! they will go ten times that if looked after.
