Re: VFR1200: How did Honda get it so wrong?!

I just read the title of this thread properly.

My question is how do any of us know if they have got it wrong?? none of us have test ridden it yet, were only taking the word of some test journo's.

Some of these people have only passed there test a matter of months ago and don't like anything very much unless it's a trackday tool that they couldn't take any where near it's limits anyway i'm fed up reading how suspension is always to soft the tyres are wrong the fairings too big.

Why don't we just wait and go to our dealers on the 12th ,13th, &14th of feb for the official launch and ride one ourselves and judge it from that. You can't judge the bike without riding it..

Journo's don't do real world testing they do reviews to get ratings for a magazine and to boost sale of certain brands/types of machine which sponsor the launch

the bike will be right !!! it will ride well , will be comfy, and TBH i think it looks quite good

however NOT fitting it with the minimum touring size tank of 22ltrs is a fatal error on honda's part

No body has made more cult bikes than Honda.People try to judge the bike before riding it. Everybody that test drove new VFR was very sceptical at the beginning , but after the test drive they were amazed and the only thing they had to say was WOW !!!
I think the looks of the new VFR are very original and are a perfect canvas for customizing. I agree its more sporty than tuoring , but that is just first year of release .Im sure Honda will listen to it's customers.
The only thing I agree on is the fuel capacity , tuoring or not 140 miles per tank it's f...n ridiculous !!!
    Just my two cents...

I think the main gripe is the poor MPG, it is all very well putting a smaller tank on a bike to reduce weight, but when it reduces the distance you can travel between fills it has flaws.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Think I have to agree mate...Can't say I've seen to many reports that really praise the new Honda.

Think we all agree that Honda are known for there build quality so that's not an issue ...Hence the reason I invested in a new one (Honda).

It's only my opinion but although it was a little out dated I think they would have been far better revamping...tuning & styling the Honda Blackbird...The sales for this bike speak for itself..What do you think..?
