Just come across this thread. A very worthy cause if I may say so. Will donate soon.

Looking forward to getting more details of the route. Would be good to join you for a stint if possible.

What's your plan for things like food? I imagine the idea is to spend as little as possible. I may be able to put some boil-in-the-bag meals your way closer to the time.

    Evening all,
sorry i have not replied to your posts sooner but been offline for a day due to an upgrade,
May i first say a big thankyou to everyone for your support, it is nice to know that if things go pear shaped there are kind people willing to help,so THANKYOU
As for the food thing i will be taking the boil in the bag stuff, have been trying a few out, and they are quite good, the main reason is they do not take up much room in the panniers, so as long as i have at least one hot meal a day i will be fine, Can't wait to get going now things are starting to move along well, a few more company sponsors would be nice, as any donated items will be auctioned off at the end of the run and added towards the total, things like camping gear, riding gear etc, even if they are not used they will still be put in the auction, so hopefully the press coverage will help.
Any way all, THANKS and i hope to meet as many of you as i can in june/july,
    cheers, ian

McV. I PM'd Ian with my details last week, right after I'd read his post. Can you find out if I've scored any brownie points with Him upstairs? I think I need 'em

Yes Jim points scored but apparently there is still a massive deficit.
I'll obviously do what I can.
