Bike Security
I think my 'Alp may be the least "nickable" bike there.....So d'you think I could leave the big fat (Heavy) chain at home and rely on the steering lock and a little disc lock (or two).
I don't have a top box or panniers so I'm reyling on a big dry bag.  Any weight I can save would be good.

I'm feeling more confident (about the likelihood of me getting there) by the hour and I'll be hanging around the site during the day - eyes peeled, shotgun on lap.
 I might be a bit of a weedy invalid at the moment, but I don't look it so Burglar Bill won't know if you don't tell him

I'm taking my lock. I told my insurance company I would be using it when not garaged so I will be using it. Otherwise if the bike gets nicked, no payout.

I'm already en-route (very roundabout route via Wales and Scotland) and have my big lock and chain with me....I wouldn't be too concerned about the bikes up in Dent though really. Somebody would have to be exceptionally brave/stupid to try and nick a bike from under the nose of 100 hairy @rsed bikers!
Just tie it to your tent...it'll be reet!
