Mudwiz At His Finest

just thought i'd post a couple of pics i took on mudwiz and i's lane ride when everyone was going home.


this was the kind of conditions we were dealing with,hadn't seen a smile on mudwiz's face as big all weekend.that's him in the background,picking up bits of himself and his bike

after his big fall,where he went vertical in the air,smashed through his screen and landed six feet away he tried to get the bike out,only to have the front wheel disappear
into the same hole the front had dived into.(believe it or not that is a knobbly on the back)

different angle shows just how in the sh*t we were.

it didn't stop him diving in the next one we came to about 50ft away either.
Me? I just let him go in first and then tried to find a firmer spot,well worth the boots that are shagged and will smell for ever
(not unlike my feet that got so wet and stinky from treading in all the puddles looking for firm ground,washed em three times
and i can still smell that bog!)

Ive had the privilage of a day out in the lanes with that man. What he does with that transalp - it's not normal, Im tella ya.

Muddy I did say at the national that I thought you were completely mad and now I am absolutely positive. You told me that it was going to be an easy track that day - if that was easy would hate to see what you consider a bit more tricky

The whole meeting, (hole??), was brill. It was ace to meet new people and catch up with older friends.

My chest and front of shoulders still smarts from the impact of ripping the screen off, thank goodness for armour!

BT is THE MAN for putting his new and smart TA down that lane, it would have been a little interesting even on a little bike.

Sharrie, I couldn't let you down, had to find a big muddy puddle to stick the bike in. That said, we knew we were going on a bit of an "explore", it just turned out lots rougher than Saturday's lanes, there were some gentle ones in the wings if there were people who fancied them.

Saturdays ride was also pretty spectacular, once we'd got the new bearings in (thanks Chad), with a heap of really nice open going, note to self - don't go much below 20psi on fast rocky lanes , 2 punctures later, but some good stream/gully stuff too.

The name sums up the beer, Kamakazi (I think), but I need to get the label made into a sticker for the bike!

Plenty of folks fancy some lanes in/around this area, you know who you are! . Just say when........

All in all a WONDERFUL meet, roll on the next. . (Head still a little fuzzy too!)
