Re: Future Nationals Location
Have already done for both that I know of, the one suggested at the Angel Inn and the Becks Farm one.

Both are a few miles from shops, 10 mins tops.
Based on the specs:
Within easy walking distance. Somewhere to get a hot meal if you didn't want to cook
Again at least somewhere to get beer, rolls, eggs bacon etc within an easy walk. A chippy and cafe would also be worthwhile.
Larger shops could be further afield but as was the case in Wales 24 mile round trip to the nearest shop is a bit much.
Flat and well drained with plenty of clean toilets and showers.
Angel - Flat, fairly large self contained field with 2 portacabins for showers and another for toilets.
Brecks - Flat, even larger self contained field allowing fires. Dedicated shower and toilet block purpose built.
Good quiet local roads with things to see essential
Angel and Brecks both close to offroad and quiet roads. No difference this way.
Marquee or barn
Again really useful should the weather turn
Neither have either but both have room to cater marquee if supplied.
Nearby for those soft souls that can't manage a life under canvas
Angel - yes, pub has 4 rooms and 1 mile away has a self catering lodge, pricey but posh, takes 6.
Brecks, nope but they did have a caravan of sorts for rental I think.
Like them or loath them they are an essential part of life and sometimes we need to stay in touch.
Angel is ok on O2, 3g in and out.
Brecks is poor on 3g, walk to end of field to get any signal. Others on vodafone get some reception when I had non on O2.
Sorry I havent been able to get down to see you Whealie, never managed to get to any of the shows in London, few things going on but hopefully all sorted out soon.
I havent been to any national so can not really comment on comparisons to past locations so maybe Jaques can assit more with that.
ABR used and are using the Brecks Farm location for a Regional meet in April.
I know GSers used Angel Inn in past and Harley use it with music/entertainment drinks licence etc. Pub has good ales on tap and decent food..civilised as I say.
