    Post National Blues

How is everyone else doing after the National ? Good fun meeting everyone. The ride home realy scratched an itch, now back to work with a bump.
I STILL can't concentrate at work.
Started riding at 18, stopped at 28, started again at 49 and had birthday 52 last sunday, you would think I had got over it by now, but no way, I think I realy got the bug again. Can't stop thinking about going out on the bike, need to do a long run again. AAAAGGGHhhhhhh.

If only I could get the wife on the bike again.

    Sucks doesn't it?!

There is only one course of treatment unfortunately, and that's a long trip.

Sadly though this merely treats the symptoms and not the root of the problem which is, rather devastatingly, untreatable.

Yeh the national seems like a distant memory, it was my first encounter with a "biking community" It was good to realise that everyone was just as nuts as me!! there were a few sobering influences but they certainly weren't Samben or Recycler (or as I like to call him "paul")
I can't wait till february and the wales thingy, in the meantime though I gotta find something bikey to do and stop buying nails

That's why we're off to Normandy again this weekend!

I've also planned a trip to northern Spain next April (there's a thread about it somewhere on here) and am toying with the idea of taking the bike to the Czech Republic next year (it's a 2CV event, but I may take two wheels instead of four this time).

Not only that, my wife's given me permission to go travelling in Europe for as long as I like - so long as I can fund it from my equity in our house. (I don't think there's an ulterior motive...)

I think the bug has bitten me.

Same feeling for me. Need to do something, local is too mundane.
