I didn't make the National, partly because I didn't know it was on, in turn caused by me having been ill this year and not ridden my bike since May.
Obviously not done much looking at this forum either.
So it was a bit of a shock when my wife and I went for a pie and a pint in Dent on Friday and found the place full of XRV owners!
We were camping at High Laning just the other side of the village, a snap decision on Friday brought on by the nice weather.

Bike is booked in for an MOT on Wednesday and I think I'm up for riding it again. Yippee

Brilliant weather on Saturday, shame it went downhill on Sunday. A good choice of venue too - we'd never been to Dent village before, as I said it was a spur of the moment decision to load up the car on Friday morning.

....well, for your information mister, while you lot where off in a muddy field, we had just put the xrv lights out on friday night, when blow me down, theres a knock on the door, and who's there but Chris Scott himself, who took us all off to Morocco on a magic carpet, tought us how to be off road riding gods on the dunes, and put us up in a tented city in the middle of the desert, populated by moroccan belly dancers who tended to our every, and I do mean EVERY need!

The field wasn't muddy it was grassy and dry just terrible really. It was awful having to wander round chatting to all those lovely people about bikes and meet so many friends all weekend. And then there was the awful drinking round a BBQ, I don't know how I survived
